Carlsbad State Beach

A big attraction for Carlsbad are its beaches. Carlsbad State Beach is about 5 miles in length consists of many picnic areas and above on the bluff overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean. A trip to the beach calls for a visit to the Carlsbad Village where you can visit the boutiques, cafes and antique stores. Carlsbad state beach offers a collection of activities including swimming, surfing, body boarding, windsurfing, camping, bird watching, hiking and kayaking. The beach has stairs to take you up to the cliff. Camping is the best way to be near the beach and hear the waves at night. At sunset, the golden sun reflecting on the shimmering waves over the Pacific Ocean is always pretty to photograph or to watch.
